"When my first child, Savannah, reached about 3 months of age I started searching for a paint product that she could use for finger painting, but I was also aware that it would end up in her mouth. I knew it needed to be made from all natural ingredients and be safe for infants. I could not find this anywhere! There were many non-toxic paints, but nothing edible! So, as an avid cook, I started dabbling with certain organic plant based ingredients and came up with my product.

The food dyes listed here are the reason that I created the finger paints. I wasn't interested in putting these dyes in my infant's mouth.
