Newbie Diaper Rental
The cost of the diaper rental is $12 per week. The total amount paid upfront (refundable deposit) is the retail cost of the diapers = $375. The deposit minus your rental fee will be refunded upon completion of the rental. See details below.

Sizing
Newborn diapers are designed to fit babies 4-12lb, so they are a perfect fit for newborns and preemies. The average newborn is about 7lb, and most babies loose some weight the first couple weeks until breastfeeding is established. Babies usually double their birth weight by about 6 months, so a 7lb newborn will weigh around 14lb at 6 months. Unless your newborn is super chunky at birth, the newborn diapers will most likely fit perfectly for at least the first couple months.
Newbie Diaper Rental Explained
You will receive 24 Extra Small FuzziBunz Perfect Size diapers or 24 GroVia AIO Newborn diapers, in gender neutral colors or prints. You may use these on your newbie until you decide it is time to move into the next size. The minimum rental period is 3 weeks, but you may rent them as long as you want. You will need to purchase the laundry soap and whatever accessories you desire. We assume you will continue to use cloth diapers after your rental, so this will help you get set up early.
Twenty-four diapers is enough for 2 days of diaper changes, so you will usually wash every other day. We can help you decide what accessories would be helpful to your lifestyle.
The price reflects a refundable deposit plus the rental fee. The upfront cost is the retail cost for the diapers. Your rental fee ($12/week) will be deducted from that, and the remainder will be refunded when the diapers are returned in good condition. Since cloth diapering is meant to save you money, the rental fee is less than what you would spend on newborn or preemie disposable diapers per week!
Example: $375 paid upfront. You rent the diapers for 4 weeks = $48.
$375 - $48 rental fee = $327 deposit refunded.
